Chicago and Tokyo were Friday eliminated as contenders to host of the 2016 Games. Still under consideration to host the two-week sporting spectacle are Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Madrid, Spain. Earlier, U.S. President Barack Obama urged the IOC to pick his hometown of Chicago, saying the city represents the American dream as well as the Olympic spirit.
